offer support.

Invite local conservation
projects to set up stands or run activities
at one of your events.

Organise create arts
workshops with a wildlife theme: children’s
mask or puppet making, face painting,
tee-shirt printing, bird box making or
competitions to grow the tallest sunflower
or take the best wildlife photograph.

Organise a litter pick and
planting day on your estate. Ask your
landlord to sponsor the hiring of a skip to
collect rubbish in, safety gloves and strong
bin bags and approach your local garden
centre for plants and shrubs.

If your local authority does
not collect your kitchen food waste for
composting, find out if you could organise
one your housing scheme.

Highlight the importance of
eating local food. If you are booking
outside caterers make sure they use fair
trade tea and coffee and source their
ingredients locally.
